Comprehensive check engine light diagnostics and repair using state-of-the-art licensed equipment.
Nearly all vehicles today are equipped with Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) Sensors that help keep tire inflation in the correct range. If your tires are under- or over-inflated, the TPMS activates a warning light on your dashboard. If the light is steady, it means you need to check tire pressure. If the light is flashing, it means you need to have the TPMS checked.
Correct tire pressure is essential because slight underinflation reduces tire life, increases rolling resistance and decreases fuel economy, while slight overinflation decreases rolling resistance, gives your vehicle a stiffer ride, reduces tire life and increases the possibility of impact damage on the tire.
We provide full TPMS diagnostics and repair at Southside Tire & Auto. We carry factory scanners for nearly every make and model of car, light truck, SUV, crossover and van, so we can do much more than simply replace and register sensors. We can fix your TPMS system no matter what’s wrong with it; if your TPMS light is flashing, we can determine why, even if it’s not a sensor. We also have aftermarket TPMS tools for cloning and programming TPMS sensors so we can offer a less expensive repair with an aftermarket sensor when that is what a customer prefers.
Always follow the vehicle’s manufacturer recommendation for proper tire inflation, which can be found in the vehicle’s owner’s manual or on a sticker placed on the inside of the driver’s side door.
